I have pulled yet another coup, landing some sweet, high-quality video that I didn't have to produce. Again. Yes, I'm impressed with myself, but what's new?
I look particularly corpse-like in this one. I also sound like a moron in several places. Go ahead, Junkies, have a laugh at my expense. Internet Superstar is a show on Revision 3, home of EPIC-FU and DIGGNation. Hosted by the high-energy Martin Sargent, this show covers -- you guesssed it, the "internet famous."
There is a ton of graphics work on this, they did a great job on the interview and it moves really fast. Check it out.

Isn't it just like a true superstar
to try to make the host of the show look good? I could clearly tell that the FDOs chair was actually several feet behind "Mr" Sargents, making the host appear to be of a larger stature. Humility and graciousness are but two of the qualities that make Scott Sigler what he is.

If you guys haven't seen the media manipulation by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son), then you have missed there is a direct and concerted effort to make this guy the new king of horror. Joe wrote a book of short stories because he "wanted to make it on his own name," and then, ooops, four months before his first novel HEART-SHAPED BOX came out Vanity Fair "broke" the story that he is King's son. Insert deluge of massive media exposure here. It's pretty comical, considering that Joe's author photos look exactly like King's from the 80s (shag hair, beard, glasses, etc.), and that King managed to keep a pen name (Richard Bachman) a secret when he was the most popular author the world had ever known. And four months just happens to be the advance time magazines require to write about a new book ... meaning all other magazines had just enough time to ramp up stories and reviews of their own.
I hear HEART-SHAPED BOX is pretty damn good, and from what I've seen of Joe he seems like a really cool guy, but I can't bring myself to read the book. Some of us work our asses off for years to develop a following and get exposure -- the FDO™ is pretty much pissed-off by the Silver Spoon crowd that get success handed to them on a giant platter by Mommy Author or Daddy Author.

BTW I lol'd when I saw the photo of scott at his booksigning. I actually "rewound" (or whatever the past tense of rewind is) and to hit pause and take a closer look. he looks like someone flashed him. LOL again.

BTW...I didn't know Martin Sargent had his own internet show. LOL, I remember when he was on TechTV back in the day. He always looked like he was on hardcore drugs, or something.

Yeah, TechTv (G4 TV) has turned into another MTV/VH1 clone. The only "tech" show that I really like is X-Play...and that just because of Morgan Webb. I remember that they had Martin Sargent on the Screen Savers program for a short time, but I don't think the others got along with him very well. In one episode he got into it with Patrick Norton on screen, and I thought that was the funniest episode ever! I don't think Martin and Patrick got along very well.
