Junkies, howdy-ho. I'm still in Michigan handling famliy biz-nass. I thought I'd try out my portable recording rig and see if it measured up to your listening standards. My guinea pig? Another CRYPT story, this time the sad tale of Yolanda Smith. When you is a ho, the pimp always wins. This is your first peek inside the PUV James Keeling. Just a peek, mind you, the FDO™ wouldn't want to hike up his skirt and show you the good stuff all at once.
This episode of THE CRYPT was co-written by Tabitha "Tabz" Smith, world-famous for her work on Buffy Between the Lines. If you're a Buffy fan, you simply must check out this podcast. Turns out Tabz can kick out some semi-twisted concepts of her own, as evidenced by this story.
The PUV James Keeling: a.k.a., The Crypt, designed by Arturo AlamillaOh snap-dilly-icious, take a gander at the winner of the Design the PUV James Keeling contest!

The ship at left was designed by Arturo Alamilla, Junkie name "The Terran" (and Arturo, if you're out there, get back to me!). Yes, in typical Siglerism fashion, we can't reach the guy who won the damn thing ...
The Keeling, also known as "The Crypt," will be based on this design. To quote my favorite movie, Pumpkinhead, "there's some things I gotta do to it, before it's of any use to ya." We need to modify the tail section and do some other key changes before it's ready for combat (click on the "read more" tag below to see the other ships featured in THE CRYPT).

How much do I appreciate all y'all junkies? Enough to turn over a key part of my fiction to you, and have a contest to see who can design the P.U.V. James Keeling, also known as "The Crypt."

I did a panel at Book Expo America with this cool cat named Derek Powazek (how cool? His whole frickin' arm is a tat of a giant squid). He is the founder of a site called Pixish.com, which lets you set up contests for visual images. I thought it was a great idea for opening up fiction illustration to the people who really give a shit -- the fans.
This is an experiment, and you have to register at Pixish.com. Don't cost nuthin'. The site supposedly handles all the elements of the submission process and the contest, so let's give it a shake down and see what nasty space visions the Junkies can come up with.
Oh and if you're not artistic but have a cool idea, feel free to get help from your non-Junkie friends.
